A Ribbon Cutting is an official ceremony conducted to celebrate the opening of a business or building AND to welcome your business to Livingston Parish! As the name implies, a ribbon is cut signifying your location is “open for business”. Chambers across the country, including the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce, are the official organization of ribbon cuttings in their communities. A ribbon cutting event can be a very large event or a simple, but no less important, event. The choice lies with the business, and the Chamber can help to guide you through the process whether your business is very small or very large!
Ribbon cuttings are the most exciting time for a business. The process of preparing to open is complete and now you are ready to open for business. Ribbon cuttings are great photo opportunities and a significant part of your business' history.
BUSINESS OWNERS, MANAGERS, PARTNERS, ETC.: Please call or email to schedule your ribbon cutting as soon as you know the date. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. Advance planning will assure your event is smooth and successful.
CHAMBER MEMBERS & PEERS: Chamber Members are welcome and invited to attend Ribbon Cuttings celebrating an opening or expansion. By attending, you are offering support to your fellow business owners and have the opportunity to welcome your peers, learn what their business offers and tour their location. To further the Chamber Spirit of referring chamber members, you build relationships with your peers and have a better knowledge of the base of businesses in the parish. Plus they can meet you to offer the same referrals building an extensive reach and list of like minded business representatives and community focused entrepreneurs.
