April has been with the Chamber since April of 2011.  Under April's leadership, the Chamber has been awarded the Louisiana State Chamber of the Year in 2013 and 2015.  The Chamber also purchased and located to its first permanent headquarters. 
April earned the industry certification of IOM from the US Chamber of Commerce.  She was awarded scholarships through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Regents, the Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, the United State Institute Instructor Scholarship and LABI.  Other Chamber professional development includes Centers for Chamber of Commerce Excellence year one and two training. Economics Development Certification Course. 

2012 - Louisiana State Chamber of the Year, Leadership Livingston - Spearheaded launch and facilitates the program to date.
2013 - Reached 500 Member Milestone and Closed on Chamber's new headquarters.  
2014 - she was elected 2016 president of the state chamber executives association.
2015 - Launched Livingston Young Professionals and Finalized move to new building headquarters on Veterans Blvd.

Karla joined the Chamber in November of 2011.  Karla has been a part of the Chamber's growth and values her role in assisting members, the community and information seekers.  She is also assistant to the executive.  She is available to greet members, public and committees and has the knowledge and skills to assist businesses with their chamber relationsihp.  Karla is the staff liaison for the Chamber's Ambassador Council, Gala and the Chamber's Education Committee.  She is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Livingston Program.  Karla is a valued member of the Chamber staff.  Karla has attended Centers for Chambers of Commerce Excellence.

Beginning in 2012, the Chamber's Leadership Livingston program was launched to build an awareness of community and those in the roles of Leadership.  To date over 120 graduates of the program and numerous contributions by class projects have been achieved.
